We are very excited to be able to offer the RECOVER CPR: BLS and ALS Instructor Certification Workshop this year in collaboration with EVECCS at the EVECC Congress!

Date/Time: May 31, 2023 9am-5pm and June 1, 2023 9am-6pm

Description: This session offers veterinary professionals certification as RECOVER CPR BLS and ALS Instructors, approved to certify veterinarians and veterinary technicians as RECOVER BLS and ALS Rescuers.  Participants must have successfully completed the RECOVER BLS and ALS online courses and be RECOVER Certified Rescuers in BLS and ALS. Participants will learn how to run hands-on BLS certification workshops with CPR mannequins and how to deliver the standardized assessments to certify others as BLS Rescuers. Attendees will then learn to run a hands-on ALS workshop with a canine patient simulator running a series of CPR simulations, and ultimately a final “mega-code” simulation to certify ALS Rescuers.

Day 1 (May 31) will consist of practical training for instructor candidates, and Day 2 (June 1) will consist of assisting teaching the BLS/ALS Rescuer course for teaching experience.

Requirements:

• There is a selection process through an application (details below).
• There will be pre-workshop coursework selected participants must complete online through the RECOVER website to attend the workshop.
• You must be able to attend both in-person sessions at the Congress in full to qualify as a RECOVER Certified Instructor.

Application Process: There is an application process for attendance for this workshop. Being a RECOVER Certified BLS and ALS Rescuer is a prerequisite for the workshop.

2. Applicants who qualify will be sent instructions for registration by March 24, 2023. There will be two steps to the registration.
   1. Register for the EVECC Congress through the congress website (early registration ends April 16, 2023).
   2. Register for the workshop through the instructions provided by RECOVER
   3. IMPORTANT: You must register for both the general conference and the workshop in order to participate.
