BREAKING NEWS: AVECCT Challenges ACVECC

Amy Newfield, CVT, VTS (ECC) issued the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care (ACVECC) a challenge to the CPR Battle on behalf of the Academy of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Technicians (AVECCT), stating that Veterinary Technicians can perform CPR better than Veterinarians.

“This is AVECCT! We’re challenging you to do CPR. Why!? Because technicians can do CPR better than YOU can! So take the challenge. We’ll see you at the CPR challenge at IVECCS! BOOM!!” exclaimed Newfield. She states that the AVECCT team is ready and currently is looking for a veterinarian with technician experience to fulfill the competition requirements.

It is yet to be seen whether ACVECC will accept the challenge and enter a team of their own. ACVECC representatives have been contacted for comments.

The inaugural CPR Battle will be hosted on September 17, 2018 at 1pm at the 2018 International Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Symposium (IVECCS) in New Orleans, LA.
